عن عائشةَ رضيَ اللهُ عنها قالت: كَانَ فِرَاشُ رسولِ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم مِن أَدَمٍ حشْوُهُ لِيفٌ. رواه البخاري.
A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The bedding of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was of leather stuffed with palm fibre. Reported by al-Bukhari.

أدَم: جمع أديم، وهو الجلد. ليف: قشر النخل الرقيق.
Leather (adam): the plural of adim, which is hide. Palm fibre (lif): the thin fibrous husk of the date palm.
