عَنْ جابرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قال: ما سُئِل رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم شَيئًا قَطُّ فقالَ لا. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was never asked for anything and said no. Agreed upon.

أن النَّبِيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم كان إذا سئل شيئًا وكان موجودًا عنده أعطاه، ولا ينطق بالمنع أو الرد، وهذا ما يدلّ على سخائه ومزيد كرمه وحسن أخلاقه. الحثّ على الاقتداء بالنَّبِيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم في سخائه وكرمه وبملاطفته في التعامل مع الغير.
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when asked for something that he had with him, would give it, and would never utter refusal or rejection. This indicates his generosity, his abundant munificence, and his excellent character. Encouragement to follow the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his generosity and munificence, and in his gentleness in dealing with others.
