عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: أَنَّ رسولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قـال: «قالَ اللهُ تعالى: أنفِقْ يا ابنَ آدمَ يُنْفَقْ عَلَيْكَ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, Exalted is He, said: 'Spend, O son of Adam, and it shall be spent upon you.'" Agreed upon.
الشرح · explanation
أَنفق: أي أنفق المال أيها المؤمن في وجوه الخير بالطريق المأذون به شرعًا إيمانًا واحتسابًا. يُنفق عليك: يوسّع الله عليك ويخلف عليك عوض ما تنفقه.
"Spend": meaning, spend your wealth, O believer, in the avenues of good through the means permitted by the Sacred Law, out of faith and seeking reward. "It shall be spent upon you": Allah will grant you abundance and will replace for you the like of what you spend.

الحثّ على الإنفاق في وجوه الخير. أنّ الجزاء من جنس العمل. أنّ الله تعالى يجازي على القليل الكثير، فإنفاقنا مهما كثر وعظم فهو قليل بجانب إنفاق الله علينا ومجازاته لنا.
Encouragement to spend in the avenues of good. That the recompense is of the same kind as the deed. That Allah, Exalted is He, rewards the little with much; for our spending, however much and great it may be, is little beside Allah's spending upon us and His recompense to us.
