عَنْ عائشة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْها: أَنَّهُمْ ذَبحُوا شَاةً، فقالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «مَا بَقِيَ مِنها؟» قالت: ما بَقِيَ مِنها إِلَّا كَتِفُهَا، قال صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «بَقِيَ كُلُّهَا غَيرَ كَتِفِهَا» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقال: حديثٌ صحيحٌ.
A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that they slaughtered a sheep, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "How much of it is left?" She said: Nothing of it remains except its shoulder. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "All of it remains except its shoulder." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: an authentic hadith.
الشرح · explanation
ما بقي منها إلَّا كتفها: أي تَصَدَّقُوا بها إلَّا كَتِفَهَا، فقال: بَقِيَتْ لَنا كلّها في الآخِرةِ إِلاَّ كَتِفَهَا.
Nothing of it remains except its shoulder: that is, they gave all of it in charity except its shoulder, so he said: All of it remains for us in the Hereafter except its shoulder.

الحثّ على الصدقة والاهتمام بها، وأن لا يستكثر الإنسان ما أنفقه فيها ويندم على بذله لها. إرشاد النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم إلى أنّ الذي يبقى حقيقة هو ما بذلته لله تعالى، وليس ما تدّخره، وحفظ المال حقيقةً يكون بإيداعه صحائف الحسنات.
Encouragement toward charity and giving it due attention, and that a person should not regard what he spends in it as too much nor regret giving it. The Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) guidance that what truly remains is what you have given for the sake of Allah, not what you hoard, and that wealth is truly preserved by depositing it in the pages of good deeds.
