عَنْ عائشةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قالتْ: سمعتُ رسولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يقولُ: «إِنَّ الُمؤْمِنَ لَيُدْرِكُ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ درَجةَ الصَّائمِ القَائمِ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ.
A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Through his good character a believer attains the rank of one who fasts by day and stands in prayer by night." Narrated by Abu Dawud.

ثواب العابد وما أعد الله لصائم النهار وقائم الليل من درجات في الجنّة. أنّ من اتصف بحسن الخلق، بلغ في الأجر والثواب درجة الصائم القائم. كمال دين الإسلام حيث جعل لحسن التعامل مع الناس هذه المنزلة العظيمة من الأجر، فليس كل النّاس يقدر على نوافل الصيام أو قيام الليل.
The reward of the devout worshipper, and the ranks in Paradise that Allah has prepared for the one who fasts by day and stands in prayer by night. Whoever is distinguished by good character attains, in recompense and reward, the rank of one who fasts and stands in night prayer. The perfection of the religion of Islam, in that it has assigned to good dealings with people this immense degree of reward; for not everyone is able to perform voluntary fasts or the night prayer.
