عنْ أَبِي هُريرةَ رضي الله عنه أَن رسول الله صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قال: «لَيْسَ الشديدُ بالصُّرَعةِ إِنمَّا الشديدُ الَّذي يمْلِكُ نَفسَهُ عِنْد الْغَضَبِ» متفقٌ عليه.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The strong man is not the one who overcomes people by wrestling; rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself at the time of anger." Agreed upon.

الصُّرَعَةُ: أي المبالغة في الصِّراع، وأصْلُهُ عنْد العربِ مَنْ يصرَعُ النَّاسَ كثيرًا. يملك نفسه: يكظم غيظه.
Al-sura'ah (the wrestler): that is, one who excels at wrestling; its original meaning among the Arabs is one who throws people down often in wrestling. Controls himself: restrains his rage.
