عَنْ عِمْرانَ بنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُما قال: قال رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «الْحَيَاءُ لا يَأْتي إلَّا بِخَيْرٍ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ . وفي روايةٍ لمسلم: «الحَياءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ» أوْ قَالَ: «الحَيَاءُ كُلُّهُ خَيْرٌ».
Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Modesty brings nothing but good." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim). In a narration by Muslim: "Modesty is entirely good," or he said: "All of modesty is good."

الحثّ على التخلُّق بخلق الحياء، وأنه خير للفرد والمجتمع، لما يحمل عليه من فعل الحسن وترك القبيح. ترك إنكار المنكر وعدم الجهر بالنصح وترك المطالبة بالحقوق ضعف وجُبن وليس من الحياء في شيء.
Encouragement to adopt the trait of modesty, and that it is good for the individual and society, because it drives one to do what is good and leave what is shameful. Abandoning the forbidding of evil, failing to speak up with counsel, and neglecting to claim rights are weakness and cowardice, and are in no way part of modesty.
