عَنْ أبي سعيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قال: قال رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «إنَّ مِنْ أَشَرِّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللهِ مَنْزِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ الرَّجُلَ يُفضِي إلى المَرْأَةِ وَتُفضِي إلَيهِ ثُمَّ يَنْشُرُ سِرَّهَا» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the worst of people in rank before Allah on the Day of Resurrection is the man who is intimate with his wife and she is intimate with him, then he spreads her secret." Reported by Muslim.

يفضي: هو كناية عن ما يكون بين الرجل وامرأته من مباشرة وجماع. ينشر سرّها: يذكر للناس ما يجري بينه وبين زوجته في خلوتهما من أمور بالغة الخصوصية مما يجب ستره.
"Is intimate": a euphemism for the intimacy and conjugal relations that take place between a man and his wife. "Spreads her secret": he mentions to people the highly private matters that take place between him and his wife in their seclusion, which ought to be concealed.

الوعيد الشديد لمن ينشر سر زوجته، أو يتكلّم للناس ما جرى بينهما، وهذا يقتضي كون هذا العمل من كبائر الذنوب. من حقوق الزوجة على زوجها عدم إفشاء أسرارها، وذلك بأن يذكر عيبًا من عيوبها الباطنة، أو يذكر من محاسنها مما يجب ستره. أنّ المرأة كالرجل يحرم عليها ذلك أيضًا.
A severe threat against whoever spreads his wife's secret or speaks to people of what took place between them, which entails that this act is among the major sins. Among the rights of the wife over her husband is that he not divulge her secrets, whether by mentioning one of her hidden faults or by mentioning some of her charms that ought to be concealed. That the woman is like the man; this is likewise forbidden to her.
