عن جَريرِ بنِ عبدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قال: قال لي رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم في حجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ: «اسْتَنْصِتِ النَّاسَ» ثمَّ قالَ: «لا ترْجِعُوا بعْدِي كُفَّارًا يضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Jarir ibn Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me during the Farewell Pilgrimage: "Call the people to be silent and listen." Then he said: "Do not revert after me to disbelievers, striking one another's necks." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
الشرح · explanation
استنصت الناس: اطلب منهم السكوت والاستماع. لا ترجعوا بعدي: لا تصيروا بعد فراقي. كفّارًا: أي كفعل الكفّار.
"Call the people to be silent and listen": ask them to be quiet and to listen. "Do not revert after me": do not become, after my departure... "Disbelievers": that is, acting like the disbelievers.
