حَديثُ زيدِ بنِ أَرْقَمَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ الَّذِي سبقَ في(بابِ إِكرامِ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ رسولِ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم)، قامَ رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم فِينَا خَطِيبًا، فَحَمِدَ اللهَ، وَأَثْنى عَلَيْهِ، وَوَعَظَ وَذَكَّرَ، ثُمَّ قالَ: «أَمَّا بَعْدُ: أَلا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، فَإِنَّمَا أَنا بشرٌ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ رَسُولُ رَبِّي فأُجيبَ، وأَنَا تَاركٌ فيكُمْ ثَقَليْنِ: أَوَّلُهُمَا: كتابُ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، فيهِ الهُدَى وَالنُّورُ، فَخُذُوا بِكتابِ اللهِ ، وَاسْتَمْسِكُوا بِهِ» فَحَثَّ عَلى كتابِ اللهِ، ورَغَّبَ فِيهِ، ثُمَّ قالَ: «وَأَهْلُ بَيْتي، أُذَكِّرُكُمُ اللهَ في أَهْلِ بَيْتي» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ. وقد سبق بطوله.
The hadith of Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), which has already appeared in the chapter on honoring the household of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us to deliver a sermon. He praised Allah and extolled Him, and gave exhortation and reminder, then said: "To proceed: O people, I am but a human being, and it is near that the messenger of my Lord [the angel of death] will come and I will answer [the call]. I am leaving among you two weighty things. The first of them is the Book of Allah (the Mighty and Majestic), in which is guidance and light; so take hold of the Book of Allah and hold fast to it." He urged and encouraged [adherence] to the Book of Allah. Then he said: "And the members of my household. I remind you of Allah regarding the members of my household." Reported by Muslim. يوشك أن يأتي رسول ربي: يَقرُب أن يأتي ملك الموت.
"It is near that the messenger of my Lord will come": it is near that the angel of death will come.

استحباب وصية الإنسان إذا شعر بدنو أجله لأهله وأصحابه بالخير وأسباب الفلاح. أعظم ما تكون الوصية به هو كتاب الله تعالى فهو أفضل ما شغل الإنسان به وقته ووصى به غيره. بشرية النبيّ صلّى اللهُ عليه وسلّمَ، وأنّ الموت يأتيه كبقية البشر. تأكيد الوصاية بأهل النبيّ صلّى اللهُ عليه وسلّمَ وطلب العناية بشأنهم.
It is recommended that a person, when he senses the nearness of his appointed time, enjoin his family and companions to good and to the means of success. The greatest thing to enjoin is the Book of Allah the Exalted, for it is the best thing with which a person can occupy his time and which he can enjoin upon others. The human nature of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and that death comes to him as it does to the rest of humankind. The emphasis on the injunction concerning the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the call to attend to their affairs.
