عَنْ أبي هريرةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رسول اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ قالَ: «إِذا لَبِسْتُمْ، وَإِذا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ فَابْدؤُوا بِأَيَامِنِكُمْ» حديثٌ صحيحٌ ، رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ والتِّرْمِذِيُّ بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيحٍ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you dress, and when you perform ablution, begin with your right sides." A sahih (authentic) hadith, reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi with a sound chain.

بأيامنكم: جمع أيمن وهو خلاف الأيسر، فيقدم المتوضىء اليمنى من يديه ورجليه في الوضوء، وكذلك يفعل في ما يلبس وله يمنى ويسرى.
"Your right sides": the plural of ayman (right), the opposite of left; so the one performing ablution puts forward the right of his hands and feet in the ablution, and likewise does so with whatever he wears that has a right and a left.
