عن أَنسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أنَّ رسولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم كانَ يتنَفَّسُ في الشَّرَابِ ثَلاثًا. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to breathe three times while drinking. Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

يتنفس في الشراب ثلاثًا: المقصود يتنفس ثلاثًا خارج الإناء خلال الشرب ولا يشرب على مرّة واحدة.
"He would breathe three times while drinking": meaning he would take breath three times outside the vessel during the course of drinking, and would not drink it all in a single draught.
