عنْ أبي سعيدٍ الخُدْريِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ النَّبيَّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم نَهَى عَنِ النَّفخِ في الشَّرابِ، فقالَ رَجُلٌ: القذَاةُ أَراها في الإِناءِ؟ فقال: «أَهْرِقْهَا» قال: إِنِّي لا أَرْوَى مِنْ نَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ؟ قال: «فَأَبِنِ القَدَحَ إِذًا عَنْ فِيكَ» رواهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقال: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صحيحٌ.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade blowing into a drink. A man said: (What of) the speck of dirt I see in the vessel? He said: "Pour it out." The man said: I am not quenched by a single breath. He said: "Then take the cup away from your mouth." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan sahih hadith.

القذَاةُ: هو ما يقع في الماء والشراب من وسخ وتراب ونحوه. أَهْرِقهَا: أَرِقْها أي اسكب جزءا من الماء أو نحوه حتى تذهب القذاة. فأَبِنِ القَدَحَ: أبعد الكأس وأزله عن فمك إذا أردت الشرب أكثر من جرعة.
"The speck" (qadhah): whatever falls into the water or drink, such as dirt, dust, and the like. "Pour it out" (ahriqha): spill it, that is, pour out part of the water or the like until the speck is gone. "Then take the cup away" (fa-abin al-qadah): move the cup away and remove it from your mouth if you wish to drink more than one draught.

كراهة النفخ في الشراب ، حَتَّى ولو كان لإبعاد وسَخ وما شابهه. إذا وُجد في الشراب وسخ أُريقَ منه شيءٌ لإزالته. حرص الإسلام على الصحة، وعدم تعريض الجسم للأمراض والأوساخ والمستقذرات. إباحة الشرب بنفَس واحد أو نفسَين وإن كان التثليث مستحب وهي السنّة.
The disapproval of blowing into a drink, even if it be to remove dirt and the like. If dirt is found in a drink, some of it is poured out to remove it. Islam's concern for health, and for not exposing the body to diseases, filth, and repugnant things. The permissibility of drinking in one or two breaths, even though taking three is recommended and is the Sunnah.
