عَنْ عبدِ اللهِ بنِ زيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: أَتَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ، فَأَخْرَجْنَا لَهُ مَاءً في تَوْرٍ مِنْ صُفْرٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Abdullah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, and we brought out for him water in a vessel of brass, and he performed ablution. Reported by al-Bukhari.

الصُّفْر: هو النُّحاسُ. التَّوْر: هو كالقدحِ.
Brass (sufr): it is copper. The vessel (tawr): it is like a bowl.
