عَنْ أبي ذرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ قالَ: «ثلاثةٌ لا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامةِ، ولا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهمْ، وَلا يُزَكِّيهِمْ، وَلهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَليمٌ» قالَ: فقَرأَها رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ ثلاثَ مِرَارٍ. قالَ أَبو ذَرٍّ: خابُوا وخسِرُوا! مَنْ هُمْ يا رسولَ اللهِ؟ قال: «المُسْبِلُ، والمنَّانُ، وَالْمُنَفِّقُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِالحَلِفِ الكاذِبِ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ. وفي روايةٍ لهُ: «المُسْبِلُ إِزَارَهُ».
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three whom Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful punishment." He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited it three times. Abu Dharr said: May they be ruined and lost! Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "The one who lets his garment trail (below the ankles), the one who reminds others of his favors, and the one who sells off his merchandise by false oaths." Reported by Muslim. In another narration of his: "The one who lets his lower garment (izar) trail."

لا يكلمهم الله: لا يكلمهم كلام رضًا. لا يزكيهم: لا يطهرهم من ذنوبهم ولا يثني عليهم. ثلاث مرار: أي أعاد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الجملة ثلاث مرات لتثبيت المعنى عند السامعين، وليكون النفع أبلغ. المسبل: المرخي لثيابه خيلاء. المنّان: الذي يذكر إحسانه ممتنًا به على المحسَن إليه.
"Allah will not speak to them": He will not speak to them with words of pleasure. "Nor will He purify them": He will not cleanse them of their sins nor praise them. "Three times": that is, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated the sentence three times to fix the meaning in the minds of the listeners and to make the benefit more far-reaching. "Al-musbil" (the one who lets his garment trail): the one who lets his garments hang low out of arrogance. "Al-mannan" (the reminder of favors): the one who mentions his kindness reproachfully, holding it over the one to whom he was kind.

تحريم جَرِّ الثياب على الأرض خيلاء وأنه من الكبائر، وأن من يفعل ذلك لا ينظر الله له نظرة رحمة يوم القيامة ما لم يتب. الترهيب من المنّ لما فيه من الأذى. ترويج السلعة بالحلف الكاذب لإنفاقها يترتّب عليه عذاب في الآخرة فضلًا عن محق البركة في الدّنيا. هذه الأفعال المذكورة في الحديث من الكبائر.
The prohibition of dragging one's garments on the ground out of arrogance, and that it is among the major sins, and that whoever does so, Allah will not look upon him with a look of mercy on the Day of Resurrection unless he repents. A warning against reminding others of one's favors, because of the harm it entails. Promoting merchandise through false oaths in order to sell it off brings punishment in the Hereafter, besides the erasure of blessing in this world. These actions mentioned in the hadith are among the major sins.
