عَنْ أبي سعيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ رضيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: قَالَ رسُولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ «إزْرَةُ المُسْلِمِ إِلى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ، وَلاَ حَرَجَ -أَوْ لا جُنَاحَ- فيما بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الكَعْبَيْنِ، فَمَا كانَ أَسْفَلَ منَ الكعْبَينِ فَهَوُ في النَّارِ، ومَنْ جَرَّ إِزارهُ بَطَرًا لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ». رواهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ بإِسنادٍ صحيحٍ.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The lower garment (izrah) of the Muslim should reach to the middle of the shin, and there is no blame — or no sin — in what is between it and the ankles. Whatever is below the ankles is in the Fire. And whoever trails his lower garment out of insolence, Allah will not look at him." Reported by Abu Dawud with a sahih (authentic) chain.
