عَن ابنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُما قالَ: مَرَرْتُ عَلى رسُولِ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ وَفي إِزَاري اسْترْخَاءٌ، فَقَالَ: «يا عَبْدَ اللهِ، ارْفَعْ إِزارَكَ» فَرفَعْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «زِدْ»، فَزِدْتُ، فَمَا زِلْتُ أَتَحرَّاها بَعْدُ. فَقَالَ بَعْضُ القُوْمِ: إِلى أَيْنَ؟ فَقَالَ: «إِلى أَنْصافِ السَّاقَيْنِ». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ .

Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I passed by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while my lower garment was hanging loose, and he said: "O Abdullah, raise your lower garment." So I raised it, then he said: "Raise it more." So I raised it more, and I continued to be mindful of that thereafter. Some of the people asked: To where? He said: "To the middle of the shins." Reported by Muslim.
