عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: نَهَانَا النَّبيُّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ أنْ نَشْربَ في آنِيةِ الذَّهبِ وَالفِضَّةِ، وَأنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا، وعَنْ لُبْسِ الحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ، وأنْ نَجْلِسَ عَلَيْهِ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from drinking from vessels of gold and silver, and from eating from them, and from wearing silk and brocade, and from sitting on it. Reported by al-Bukhari.

آنية: جمع إناء، وهو الوعاء صغيرًا كان أو كبيرًا. الديباج: ما غلُظ من ثياب الحرير.
"Vessels" (aniyah): the plural of ina', which is a container, whether small or large. "Brocade" (dibaj): the thick kind of silk garments.
