عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أنَّ رسولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ لَعَنَ مَنْ جَلَسَ وَسْطَ الحَلْقَةِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ بِإِسْنَادٍ حَسَنٍ. وروَى التِّرْمِذِيُّ عنْ أبي مِجْلَزٍ: أنَّ رَجُلًا قَعَدَ وَسْطَ حَلْقَةٍ، فقالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: مَلْعُونٌ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ -أوْ: لَعَنَ اللهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ- مَنْ جَلَسَ وَسْطَ الْحَلْقةِ. قالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صحيحٌ .
Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed whoever sits in the middle of a circle [of people]. Reported by Abu Dawud with a hasan (good) chain. And al-Tirmidhi reported from Abu Mijlaz that a man sat in the middle of a circle, so Hudhayfah said: "Cursed upon the tongue of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)" — or: "Allah cursed, upon the tongue of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)," — "whoever sits in the middle of a circle." Al-Tirmidhi said: a hasan sahih hadith.

The prohibition of harming those seated [in a gathering]. The disapproval of sitting in the middle of a circle. The prohibition of stepping over the necks of those seated and sitting in their midst. The Muslim must have regard for the feelings of others, and not intrude upon their gatherings or their private affairs.
