عَنْ أبي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: قالَ رسولُ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ رآني في المنَامِ فَسَيَرَانِي في الْيَقَظَةِ -أوْ كأنَّمَا رآني في اليَقَظَةِ- لا يَتَمثَّلُ الشَّيْطانُ بي» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ .
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sees me in a dream will see me in wakefulness"—or "as if he had seen me in wakefulness"—"for Satan cannot assume my likeness." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

سيراني في اليقظة: قيل: سيرى تصديق رؤياه في اليقظة، وقيل: سيراه في الآخرة رؤية خاصة في القرب منه والشفاعة.
"Will see me in wakefulness": it has been said this means he will see the fulfillment of his dream in wakefulness; and it has been said he will see him in the Hereafter with a special vision, in nearness to him and in his intercession.

أنّ من رأى النّبيّ في المنام فسوف يراه في اليقظة يوم القيامة. هذا تبشير لصاحب الرؤيا، والغالب فيمن يرى رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم في المنام وفي قلبه حب له والتزام بهداه. قوله "فسيراني في اليقظة" هذا وعد له بمزيد اختصاص بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وقرب منه في الآخرة، ولا يعني أنّ من لم يره في المنام لن يراه في الآخرة. أنّ رؤية الرسول صلّى الله عليه وسلّم في المنام حقّ وليست من قبيل الأضغاث، لأنّ الشيطان لا يتمثّل للإنسان بشكل النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم.
Whoever sees the Prophet in a dream will see him in wakefulness on the Day of Resurrection. This is glad tidings for the dreamer; most often the one who sees the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream has love for him in his heart and adheres to his guidance. His words "he will see me in wakefulness" are a promise to him of a special distinction with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and of nearness to him in the Hereafter; this does not mean that whoever does not see him in a dream will not see him in the Hereafter. Seeing the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream is true and is not among confused, meaningless dreams, because Satan cannot appear to a person in the form of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
