عَنْ أبي يُوسُفَ عبْدِ اللهِ بنِ سلامٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: سَمِعْتُ رسولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يقولُ «يَا أيُّهَا النّاسُ؛ أفْشُوا السَّلامَ، وَأَطعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ، وَصِلُوا الأَرحامَ، وَصَلُّوا والنَّاسُ نِيامٌ تَدْخُلوا الجَنَّةَ بسلامٍ» رواهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقالَ: حَدِيثٌ حسن صحيحٌ.
Abu Yusuf Abdullah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O people, spread the greeting of peace, feed others, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray at night while people sleep—you will enter Paradise in peace." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan sahih hadith.

الحثّ على إفشاء السلام فهو سبب من أسباب دخول الجنّة. يشتمل هذا الحديث العظيم على أربعٍ من الوصايا النبوية الجليلة، وهي: إفشاء السلام وإطعام الطعام وصلة الأرحام وقيام الليل وأنها سبب لدخول الجنة.
