عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: قالَ رسولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ: «ما مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ فَيَتَصافَحَانِ إلّا غُفرَ لَهما قَبْلَ أَنْ يَفَترقَا» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ.
Al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are no two Muslims who meet and shake hands but that they are forgiven before they part." Reported by Abu Dawud.

تأكيد أمر المصافحة والحثّ عليها، وأنّها من الأعمال الصالحة التي تكفر صغائر الذنوب. المصافحة عند اللقاء فيها خير عظيم، وفيها إيناس وتعارف وتقارب ومودة، وإبعاد للوحشة، فلا ينبغي ترك ذلك.
Emphasis on the matter of handshaking and encouragement toward it, and that it is among the righteous deeds that expiate minor sins. Handshaking upon meeting holds great good: friendliness, mutual acquaintance, closeness, and affection, and the dispelling of estrangement; so it ought not to be abandoned.
