عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ قالَ: «إنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ إذا عادَ أخاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ لمْ يَزَلْ في خُرْفَةِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ» قِيلَ: يا رسولَ اللّهِ وما خُرْفَةُ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قالَ: «جَنَاها» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a Muslim visits his Muslim brother, he remains amid the fruit-harvest of Paradise until he returns." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the fruit-harvest of Paradise?" He said: "Its gathered fruit." Reported by Muslim.

أخاه: أي في الإسلام. خرفة: أي في بستان يُجتَنى منه الثّمر إذا نضج جَنَاها: أي ما يُجتنى من الثمر.
"His brother": that is, in Islam. "Kharfah (fruit-harvest)": that is, in a garden from which fruit is gathered when it ripens. "Its gathered fruit": that is, the fruit that is picked.

أنّ من عاد مريضًا لم يزل يجني من ثمار الجنّة مدة دوامه جالسًا عند هذا المريض. أنّ عيادة المريض من الطاعات المرغّب فيها، العظيمة الأجر والثواب.
Whoever visits a sick person continues to gather from the fruits of Paradise for the duration of his sitting with that sick person. Visiting the sick is among the encouraged acts of obedience, immense in reward and recompense.
