عنْ معاذٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: قال رسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ: «منْ كَانَ آخِرَ كلَامِهِ: لَا إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللّهُ دَخَلَ الجنَّةَ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ، والحاكِمُ وقالَ: صحيحُ الإِسْنادِ.
On the authority of Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever's last words are: There is no god but Allah, will enter Paradise." Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Hakim, who said: Its chain is authentic.

فضل كلمة التوحيد (لا إلٰه إلّا اللّهُ). فضل شهادة لا إلٰه إلّا اللّهُ وأنّ من كان آخر كلامه لا إلٰه إلّا اللّهُ دخل الجنّة، إمّا ابتداء أو بعد مجازاته على معاصيه، وأنّه لا يخلّد في نار جهنّم. يستحب تلقين الميّت لا إلٰه إلّا اللّهُ عند احتضاره لتكون آخر كلامه لا إلٰه إلّا اللّهُ.
The merit of the word of monotheism (There is no god but Allah). The merit of the testimony "There is no god but Allah," and that whoever's last words are "There is no god but Allah" will enter Paradise, either at the outset or after being recompensed for his sins, and that he will not abide eternally in the Fire of Hell. It is recommended to prompt the dying person with "There is no god but Allah" as he is dying, so that his last words may be "There is no god but Allah."
