عَنْ عائشةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قالَ رسولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ: «ما مِنْ ميِّتٍ يُصلِّي عليْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ المُسْلِمِينَ يبْلُغُونَ مئَةً كُلُّهُمْ يشْفَعُونَ لهُ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فيهِ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
On the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no deceased over whom a community of Muslims reaching one hundred prays, all of them interceding for him, except that their intercession for him is accepted." Reported by Muslim.
الشرح · explanation
أُمّة: جماعة. شُفِّعوا: قُبلت شفاعتهم والشفاعة طلب المغفرة للميّت.
"Community (ummah)": a group. "Their intercession is accepted (shuffi'u)": their intercession was accepted; intercession is seeking forgiveness for the deceased.
