عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بنِ وحْوَحٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ : أَنَّ طَلْحَةَ بنَ الْبَرَاءِ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ مَرِضَ، فَأتَاهُ النَّبيُّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ: «إنّي لا أُرَى طَلْحةَ إلاَّ قدْ حَدَثَ فِيهِ المَوْتُ ، فَآذِنُوني بِهِ وَعَجِّلُوا بِهِ ؛ فَإنَّهُ لا يَنْبَغِي لجِيفَةِ مُسْلِمٍ أنْ تُحْبَسَ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيْ أَهْلِهِ». رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ.
Husayn ibn Wahwah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Talhah ibn al-Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit him and said: "I do not think that Talhah is anything but that death has come upon him. So inform me of it and hasten with him, for it is not fitting that the corpse of a Muslim be kept among his family." Reported by Abu Dawud.

يعوده: يزوره. حدث فيه الموت: بدأ فيه الموت بالشروع بالنزع. آذِنوني: أي فأعلموني إن مات. جيفة: جثّة.
"To visit him": to call on him as one visits the sick. "Death has come upon him": death has begun in him with the onset of the death throes. "Inform me": that is, notify me if he dies. "Jifah (corpse)": a dead body.
