عَنْ أَبي هُرَيْرَةَ رضِيَ اللّهُ عنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «لا يَمُوتُ لأِحَدٍ مِنَ المُسْلِمِينَ ثَلاثةٌ مِنَ الوَلَدِ لا تمَسُّهُ النَّارُ إِلاَّ تَحِلَّةَ القَسَمِ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No Muslim has three of his children die but that the Fire will not touch him except to fulfill the oath." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
الشرح · explanation
تَحِلَّةُ القَسَم: أي ليحقّق القسم وهو قولُ اللّهِ تعالى: وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا [مريم: ٧١]. والوُرُودُ: هُوَ العُبُورُ عَلى الصِّراطِ، وهُوَ جِسْرٌ مَنْصُوبٌ عَلَى ظهْرِ جَهَنَّمَ.
"Tahillat al-qasam (fulfilling the oath)": that is, so as to fulfill the oath, which is the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And there is none of you but will come to it" [Surah Maryam: 71]. The "coming to it" (wurud) is the crossing over al-Sirat, which is a bridge set up over the back of Hell.

أن المؤمن الَّذِي يموت له ثلاثة أولاد فيحتسب ويصبر ويرضى بقضاء اللّهِ وقدره لا تمسه النار، وإن وردها على الصراط لا يؤذيه لظاها.
That the believer whose three children die, and who seeks the reward, is patient, and is content with Allah's decree and destiny, will not be touched by the Fire; and even if he comes to it upon al-Sirat, its flames will not harm him.
