عنْ كعبِ بنِ مالكٍ، رَضيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ في غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ يَوْمَ الخَمِيسِ، وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ يَوْمَ الخَمِيسِ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وفي رِوايةٍ في الصَّحيحيْنِ: لقلَّمَا كانَ رسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا في يَوم الخَمِيسِ.

Ka'b ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on the expedition of Tabuk on a Thursday, and he loved to set out on a Thursday. Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim). In a narration in the two Sahihs: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) seldom set out except on a Thursday.
