عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لاَ يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بامْرَأَةٍ إِلّا ومَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ، وَلاَ تُسَافِرُ المَرْأَةُ إِلّا معَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ» فَقالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: يا رَسُولَ اللّهِ إنَّ امْرَأَتِي خَرجَتْ حَاجَّةً، وإِنِّي اكْتُتِبْتُ في غَزْوةِ كَذَا وكَذَا؟ قَالَ: «انْطلِـقْ فَحُجَّ مَعَ امْرأَتِكَ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "No man should be alone with a woman except that she has a mahram with her, and a woman should not travel except with a mahram." A man said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, my wife has set out for Hajj, and I have been enrolled for such-and-such an expedition." He said: "Go and perform Hajj with your wife." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
الشرح · explanation
لا يخلونّ: أي لا ينفرد. اكْتُتِبْتُ: كتبت نفسي في أسماء من عيّن لتلك الغزوة.
"Should not be alone (la yakhluwanna)": that is, he should not be in seclusion with her. "I have been enrolled (iktutibtu)": I registered myself among the names of those designated for that expedition.
