وَعَنْ أَبي مسْعُودٍ البدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ، عنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قال: «منْ قَرَأَ بالآيتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورةِ البقَرةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Abu Masʿud al-Badri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites the two verses from the end of Surah al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

الآيتان من آخر سورة البقرة: وهما تبدءان بقوله تعالى: آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ …… إلى آخر السورة. كَفَتَاهُ: قِيلَ المَكْرُوهَ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، وَقِيلَ كَفَتَاهُ مِنْ قِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ.
"the two verses from the end of Surah al-Baqarah": they begin with the words of Allah the Exalted: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers…" to the end of the surah. "they will suffice him": it is said, from the harm of that night; and it is said, they will suffice him in place of standing in night prayer.
