Jarir ibn Abdillah al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he looked at the moon on the night of the full moon and said: "You will surely see your Lord as you see this moon; you will suffer no hardship in seeing Him. So if you are able not to be overcome in respect of a prayer before the rising of the sun and before its setting, then do so." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim). In another narration: "He looked at the moon on the fourteenth night."
"the night of the full moon": the fourteenth night of the month, so named because of the swiftness with which the moon rises. "you will suffer no hardship": no harm — that is, toil or difficulty — will befall you.

The affirmation of the believers' vision of Allah the Exalted, without knowing its manner and without confinement, a vision befitting His perfection (Glorified and Exalted is He); as for the disbelievers, they on that Day will be veiled from their Lord — we seek refuge in Allah. That by maintaining these two prayers — Fajr and Asr — one hopes through them to attain the vision of Allah, which is the greatest of the delights of Paradise.
