عنْ أُمِّ المُؤْمِنِينَ أُمِّ حبِيبَةَ رَمْلةَ بِنْتِ أَبي سُفْيَانَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُما قَالتْ: سَمِعْتُ رسُولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي للّهِ تَعَالى كُلَّ يَوْمٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً تَطُوُّعًا غَيْرَ فَرِيضَةٍ إِلّا بَنَى اللّهُ تَعَالَى لَهُ بَيْتًا في الجَنَّةِ. أَوْ: إِلّا بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Umm al-Muminin Umm Habibah Ramlah bint Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no Muslim servant who prays to Allah the Exalted twelve rak'ahs each day, voluntarily, apart from the obligatory prayers, but that Allah the Exalted will build for him a house in Paradise" — or: "but that a house will be built for him in Paradise." Reported by Muslim.

It is recommended to be diligent in performing the twelve voluntary rak'ahs. The detail of these rak'ahs comes in the hadith of Umm Habibah: "four before Zuhr and two after it, two after Maghrib, two after Isha, and two before the Fajr prayer."
