عَنْ أَبي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يُصْبِحُ عَلَى كُلِّ سُلاَمَى مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ صَدَقَةٌ: فَكُلُّ تَسْبِيحَةٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وَكُلُّ تَحْمِيدَةٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وكُلُّ تَهْلِيلَةٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وَكُلُّ تَكْبِيرَةٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وأَمْرٌ بالْمَعْرُوفِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَنَهْيٌ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ صَدَقَةٌ، ويُجْزِئُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ رَكْعَتَانِ يَرْكَعُهُمَا مِنَ الضُّحَى» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Each morning a charity is due upon every joint (sulama) of one of you: every glorification (tasbih) is a charity, every praise (tahmid) is a charity, every declaration of Allah's oneness (tahlil) is a charity, every declaration of Allah's greatness (takbir) is a charity, enjoining good is a charity, and forbidding evil is a charity. But two rak'ahs that one prays in the forenoon (Duha) suffice for all of that." Reported by Muslim.
الشرح · explanation
سُلامى: المِفصل من مفاصل الجسم. صدقة: أي عليه أن يتصدق بها شكرًا للّه على عظيم نعمته. تحميدة: حمدُ اللّه تعالى بأيّ عبارة دلت عليه. تهليلة: قول لا إلـٰه إلّا اللّه. يجزئ: أي يكفي.
"Sulama": a joint among the joints of the body. "A charity": that is, he ought to give it as charity in gratitude to Allah for His immense favor. "A praise (tahmid)": praising Allah the Exalted with any expression that conveys it. "A tahlil": saying "There is no god but Allah." "Suffice": that is, are enough.
