عَنْ أَبي هُريْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الجُمُعَةِ، فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ، وَفِيهِ أُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ، وَفِيهِ أُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best day upon which the sun has risen is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he was admitted to Paradise, and on it he was expelled from it." Reported by Muslim.

بيان فضل يوم الجمعة على سائر الأيام، لما حدث فيه من الأمور العظام، فآدم أصل النوع المفضل على جميع المخلوقات خلق فيه، وكان تكريمه بدخول الجنّة في هذا اليوم، كما كان إنزاله إلى الأرض يوم الجمعة. الحثّ على الأعمال الصالحة فيه، والتأهب لما يجلب رحمة اللّه تعالى ويدفع نقمته، إذ فيه ستقوم الساعة أيضًا.
An explanation of the merit of Friday over all other days, because of the momentous events that occurred on it: Adam, the origin of the human race that is favored above all creatures, was created on it; his honoring by entry into Paradise was on this day; and his descent to the earth was likewise on a Friday. Encouragement to perform righteous deeds on it, and to prepare for what draws the mercy of Allah the Exalted and wards off His wrath, since the Hour will also arise on it.
