عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِي اللّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَيْقَظَ الرَّجُلُ أهْلَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّيَا -أَوْ صَلَّى- رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَمِيعًا، كُتِبَا فِي الذَّاكِرِينَ وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيحٍ.
Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man awakens his family in the night and they both pray -or he prays- two rak'ahs together, they are recorded among the men and women who remember Allah much." Reported by Abu Dawud with a sahih (authentic) chain.

فضيلة أمر الرجل أهله من زوجه وغيرها بالنوافل والتطوعات. فضل من صلى مع أهله قيام الليل وأنهما من الذاكرين والذاكرات، قال تعالى: وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا [الأحزاب: ٣٥].
The virtue of a man commanding his family, his wife and others, to perform voluntary and supererogatory prayers. The merit of one who prays the night prayer with his family, and that they are among the men and women who remember Allah much. Allah the Exalted said: "And the men who remember Allah much and the women who remember [Him], Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward." [Surah al-Ahzab: 35].
