Abu Atiyyah reported: Masruq and I came in to visit Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and Masruq said to her: "There are two men among the Companions of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), both of whom do not fall short in [seeking] good: one of them hastens the Maghrib prayer and the breaking of the fast, while the other delays the Maghrib prayer and the breaking of the fast?" She asked: "Who is it that hastens the Maghrib prayer and the breaking of the fast?" He said: "Abdullah" — meaning Ibn Masud. She said: "This is how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do it." Reported by Muslim.
