عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: لَمْ يَكُنِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ مِنْ شَهْرٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ كُلَّهُ، وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ إلَّا قَلِيلًا. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fast in any month more than he did in Shaban; indeed, he used to fast all of Shaban. In another narration: He used to fast Shaban except for a little. Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
