عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَنْ يَعْتِقَ اللّهُ فِيهِ عَبْدًا مِنَ النَّارِ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of Arafah." Reported by Muslim.

يعتق: أي ينجّي ويخلّص من النار.
"frees": that is, He saves and delivers from the Fire.

بيان فضل يوم عرفة وأنّ اللّه تعالى يعتق فيه أكثر من باقي الأيام. أنّ اللّه عزّ وجلّ في يوم عرفة يباهي بعباده ويفاخر بهم ملائكته فيغفر لهم ويرحمهم.
A statement of the merit of the Day of Arafah, and that Allah the Exalted frees more people from the Fire on it than on any other day. On the Day of Arafah, Allah (the Mighty and Majestic) takes pride in His servants and boasts of them to His angels, forgiving them and showing them mercy.
