عَنْ مُعَاذٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ فُوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الجَنَّةُ، وَمَنْ جُرِحَ جُرْحًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ نُكِبَ نَكْبَةً فَإنَّهَا تَجِيءُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ كَأَغْزَرِ مَا كَانَتْ، لَوْنُهَا الزَّعْفَرَانُ، وَرِيحُهَا كَالْمِسْكِ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ، وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any Muslim man who fights in the path of Allah for [even] the span between two milkings of a she-camel, Paradise becomes his due. And whoever is wounded in the path of Allah, or suffers a hurt, it will come on the Day of Resurrection more copious than it ever was: its color that of saffron, and its scent like musk." Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan sahih hadith.

فُواق ناقة: هو هنا كناية عن قليل الجهاد. نكب نكبة: هو ما يصيب المجاهد من ابتلاءات، وما يحل عليه من حوادث، ومنها الجُرحُ والخدش وكل أنواع الأذى. كأغزر: أي تجيء يوم القيامة أكثر وأوفر وأبلغ مما كانت عليه في حينها.
"For the span between two milkings of a she-camel (fuwaq naqah)": here a figurative expression for a small amount of fighting. "Suffers a hurt (nukiba nakbah)": whatever befalls the fighter of trials and misfortunes, including wounds, scratches, and every kind of harm. "More copious (ka-aghzar)": that is, it comes on the Day of Resurrection more abundant, more plentiful, and more pronounced than it was at the time [it was inflicted].
