عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ فَقَدْ غَزَا، وَمَنْ خَلَفَ غَازيًا فِي أَهْلِهِ بِخَيْرٍ فَقَدْ غَزَا» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Zayd ibn Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever equips a fighter in the path of Allah has [himself] fought, and whoever looks after a fighter's family in his absence with goodness has [himself] fought." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

جهز غازيًا: أعد للمجاهد ما يحتاج إليه من أدوات القتال ونفقاته. خلف: كان له خليفة في رعاية أهله ونفقتهم.
"Equips a fighter (jahhaza ghaziyan)": prepares for the fighter what he needs of the implements of battle and its provisions. "Looks after in his absence (khalafa)": stands in for him in caring for his family and providing for them.

أنّ من أعان غازيًا في رعاية أهله كان له مثل أجر الغازي، ومن أعان مؤمنًا على الجهاد في سبيل اللّهِ بتجهيزه وإمداده بما يلزم كان له مثل أجره. الحثّ على تكافل المسلمين بعضهم بعضًا بالتعاون والتناصر.
Whoever helps a fighter by caring for his family has a reward like that of the fighter, and whoever helps a believer to fight in the path of Allah by equipping him and supplying him with what he needs has a reward like his. Urging Muslims toward mutual solidarity through cooperation and mutual support.
