عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ فَتىً مِنْ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللّهِ، إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْغَزْوَ وَلَيْسَ مَعِي مَا أَتَجَهَّزُ، قَالَ: «ائْتِ فُلاَنًا، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ تَجَهَّزَ فَمَرِضَ» فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلامَ وَيَقُولُ: أَعْطِنِي الَّذِي تَجَهَّزْتَ بِهِ، قَالَ: يَا فُلاَنَةُ، أَعْطِيهِ الَّذِي تَجَهَّزْتُ بِهِ، وَلَا تَحْبِسِي عَنْهُ شَيْئًا، فَوَاللّهِ، لَا تَحْبِسِي مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَيُبَارَكَ لَكِ فِيهِ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a young man of [the tribe of] Aslam said, "O Messenger of Allah, I wish to go out to fight, but I do not have the means to equip myself." He said: "Go to so-and-so, for he had equipped himself but then fell ill." So he went to him and said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sends you greetings of peace and says: Give me what you had equipped yourself with." He said, "O so-and-so [addressing his wife], give him what I had equipped myself with, and do not hold anything back from him. By Allah, do not hold anything back from it, that it may be blessed for you." Reported by Muslim.

تعاون المسلمين فيما بينهم في إعداد وسائل قتال الأعداء. جواز أمر الإمام من تجهز للغزو ثم منعه عذر أن يعطي جهازه لمن طلب الجهاد وليس عنده ما يجاهد به. أهمية العطاء بسخاء عن طيب نفس وابتغاء وجه اللّهِ لتحصيل الأجر الموعود.
Muslims cooperating with one another in preparing the means of fighting the enemy. The permissibility of the leader ordering one who had equipped himself for battle but was then prevented by an excuse to give his equipment to one who seeks to fight but lacks the means to do so. The importance of giving generously, with a willing heart, seeking the Face of Allah, in order to attain the promised reward.
