عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ طَلَبَ الشَّهَادَةَ صَادِقًا أُعْطِيَهَا وَلَوْ لَمْ تُصِبْهُ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever truthfully seeks martyrdom is granted it, even if it does not befall him." Reported by Muslim.

أعطيها: أي أعطي ثوابها.
"is granted it": that is, is granted its reward.
