عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لاَ تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ، فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ صَابِرُوا» مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not wish for an encounter with the enemy, but when you meet them, be steadfast." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
