عَنِ ابْنِ مسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِي يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ عَليَّ صَلاَةً» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقَالَ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people nearest to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who sent the most blessings upon me." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan (good) hadith.
الشرح · explanation
أولى الناس بي: أخصُّهم بي، وأقربهم مني، وأحقهم بشفاعتي. أكثرهم عليّ صلاة: أي من الدنيا.
"The people nearest to me": those most attached to me, closest to me, and most deserving of my intercession. "Those who sent the most blessings upon me": that is, during their worldly life.
