عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لأَنْ أَقُولَ: سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للّهِ، وَلا إَلٰهَ إِلّا اللّهُ، وَاللّهُ أكْبَرُ أَحَبُّ إِليَّ مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That I should say: 'Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest' is dearer to me than all that the sun has risen upon." Reported by Muslim.
الشرح · explanation
أحبُّ إليَّ ممَّا طَلَعتْ عَليهِ الشَّمسُ: أي أحبُّ إليَّ مِن كلِّ الدُّنيا وما فيها منَ الأَموالِ وَغيرِها.
"Dearer to me than all that the sun has risen upon": that is, dearer to me than the whole world and all the wealth and other things it contains.

الحثّ على ذكر اللّه تعالى بتنزيهه وحمده وتعظيمه وتوحيده وتكبيره. إنّما كانت هذه الأذكار خيرًا من الدنيا، لأنّها من أعمال الآخرة، وهي الباقيات الصالحات.
Encouragement to remember Allah the Exalted by declaring Him free of imperfection, praising Him, magnifying Him, affirming His oneness, and proclaiming His greatness. These remembrances are better than the world because they are among the deeds of the Hereafter, and they are "the enduring good deeds" (al-baqiyat al-salihat).
