عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ: أنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كانَ يقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ، دِقَّهُ وَجُلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ، وَعَلانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say in his prostration: "O Allah, forgive me all my sins—the small of them and the great, the first of them and the last, the open of them and the secret." Reported by Muslim.

دقه: صغيرَهُ. جله: كبيرَهُ. علانيته: المعلن عنه.
"Its small (diqqahu)": the minor of it. "Its great (jullahu)": the major of it. "Its open (alaniyatahu)": that which is openly declared.

استحباب ذكر اللّه تعالى في السجود بهذه الأذكار التي جمعت بين صفات التنزيه والتقديس للّه تعالى ما هو أهل له. كان استغفارُ النَّبيِّ صلَّى اللّه عليه وسلَّم شُكرًا للّهِ وطَلبًا لرحمتِه وفَضْله.
It is recommended to remember Allah the Exalted in prostration with these remembrances, which combine the attributes of glorification and sanctification due to Allah the Exalted as He deserves. The Prophet's seeking of forgiveness (peace and blessings be upon him) was gratitude to Allah and a seeking of His mercy and bounty.
