عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ غُرِسَتْ لَهُ نَخْلَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وقَالَ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says: Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him (Subhan Allah wa bi-hamdih), a palm tree will be planted for him in Paradise." Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan (good) hadith.

بيان فضل هذا الذكر المشتمل على تنزيه اللّه تعالى عن النقائص وإثبات الكمالات له. بيانُ فضل الذّكر للّه بالتّسبيحِ والحمدِ معَ الاعتقادِ بالقلبِ. أنّ التمرة من ثمار الجنّة، والنخلَ من شجَرِها، كما قال تعالى: فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ [الرحمن: ٦٨].
An exposition of the merit of this remembrance, which comprises declaring Allah the Exalted free of imperfections and affirming the attributes of perfection for Him. An exposition of the merit of remembering Allah with glorification and praise, together with belief in the heart. That the date is among the fruits of Paradise and the palm among its trees, as Allah the Exalted said: "In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates" [Surah al-Rahman: 68].
