عَنْ عَبْدِ اللّهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اقْرَأْ: قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَ (الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ) حِينَ تُمْسِي وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ تَكْفِيكَ مِنْ كلِّ شَيْءٍ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُودَ، وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
Abdullah ibn Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Recite 'Say: He is Allah, the One' and the two suras of refuge (al-Mu'awwidhatayn) three times when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning; they will suffice you against everything." Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi, who said: a hasan sahih hadith.

تكفيك: أي من غيرها من الأذكار، لتحصيل الثواب والوقاية من سائر المؤذيات.
"They will suffice you": that is, they will suffice you in place of other remembrances, in attaining reward and protection from all harms.
