Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say at times of distress: "There is no god but Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the noble Throne." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

That the remedy in times of hardship and crisis is affirming the oneness of Allah (the Mighty and Majestic) and not turning to any besides Him after taking the necessary means, along with supplicating abundantly and remembering Allah (Glorified is He).
