عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: مَا سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ لِشَيءٍ قَطُّ: إِنِّي لأَظُنُّهُ كَذَا، إِلّا كَانَ كَمَا يَظُنُّ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported: I never heard Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) say about anything, "I think it is such-and-such," but that it was as he thought. Reported by al-Bukhari.

فضل عمر بنِ الخطاب رضي اللّه عنه، وصدق حدسه، وقوة ذكائه، وفضلُ اللّه تعالى عليه، فإنّ اللّه عزّ وجلّ يمنح عبده الصالح الصادق مثل ذلك.
The merit of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), the truthfulness of his intuition, the strength of his intelligence, and Allah the Exalted's favor upon him — for Allah (the Mighty and Majestic) grants the like of that to His righteous, truthful servant.
